Zadar

The city of Zadar is a town with an impressive history that reaches three millennia into the past, and with exceptionally valuable cultural heritage. Located in the very heart of the Adriatic, it is the urban centre of Northern Dalmatia and the administrative, commercial, cultural and political centre of the region.

Nin

Nin has been continuously inhabited for more than 3000 years. The town was founded in the 9th century BC by the Liburnians, when it was known as Aenona. In the early 7th century, the Croats established the town of Nin on the ruins of this settlement, and it became the first political, religious and cultural centre of the mediaeval state. This is why Nin proudly bears the title of the oldest Croatian royal city. Its old town core is located on a small island surrounded by long sandy beaches.

Zaton

Zaton is a small tourist town nestled in the bay of the same name that is located in Zadar Channel, 2 kilometres from Nin. During the Roman era, Zaton was a port that belonged to Aenona (Nin). Today, the tourist village Zaton Holiday Resort is located in this area.

Privlaka

Privlaka is located on a wide and flat sandy peninsula that closes off Nin Bay from the northeast side, and the Zadar Channel from the southwest. It is located about 2 kilometres from Nin and straddles the regional Zadar-Nin-Vir Island thoroughfare.

Vrsi

The settlement of Vrsi is located in the far northwestern part of Northern Dalmatia, about 20 kilometres from Zadar and about 5 kilometres from Croatia’s oldest royal town, Nin. Vrsi boasts a 34-kilometre long coastthat abounds in natural beaches and bays that are perfect for swimming.
